HURRICANE HELENE CLEANUP

FEMA has issued a federal disaster declaration for Ware County to assist with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. Ware County has initiated a contract with CrowderGulf Disaster Recovery & Debris Management to begin collection and disposal of hurricane debris. Collection of debris should begin within the next couple of days. The grapple trucks will travel all streets and roads inside the city AND county to collect debris.
Please place any vegetative hurricane debris within the public right of way of the County road (edge of road) in an open area away from trees, fire hydrants, phone pedestals, power lines, natural gas lines, and other utility structures.
No collection will occur on private property or State-owned right of ways.
VEGETATIVE DEBRIS ONLY
- Tree branches, leaves, logs, or plant matter
NOT ALLOWED:
- Appliances (white goods)
- Hazardous materials
- Electronics
- Household garbage
- Construction or demolition materials
- Lumber, shingles, concrete, or other buildingdebris
At this time, there is no need to call to request debris pickup at your address! Trucks will visit all areas of the city and county!
